The Olight O’Pen 3 is a smooth-writing ballpoint pen with a torch, a red night light, a writing light and a green laser pointer built in. It clips into a shirt pocket like any other pen, so you always have light on hand.

Use it for inspections and trade work, night shifts, presentations, reading menus in a dark restaurant or signing paperwork in the car. It recharges by USB-C in about an hour, so there are no batteries to buy.

Built to be used every day

The O’Pen 3 is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and weighs just 33.5g, so it sits in a shirt pocket without dragging it down. A three-position selector picks the laser, clip light or tip light, and the bolt-action click works the pen and the lights with one hand.

When the battery runs low, plug it into any USB-C charger and it is full again in about an hour.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a real pen?

Yes. It is a smooth-writing ballpoint pen and uses replaceable O’Pen series refills. A spare refill is included.

How do I charge it?

Unscrew the body halfway to reveal the USB-C port and charge with the included cable. It charges fully in about an hour.

How long does it last on a charge?

From about 25 minutes on 120 lumens up to 26 hours on moonlight or the pen tip light.

What is the red light for?

Red light keeps your night vision, so it is ideal for camping, astronomy, reading maps and night shifts. It also has a red SOS mode.

What is the laser for?

It is a green presentation pointer for slides, whiteboards and pointing out detail on the job. Never point it at people, animals, vehicles or aircraft.
